Adani Green Energy Q1 Results Revenue at ₹2,834 Crores, Operating Income Up 41.61% QoQ

Adani Green Energy Q1 Results: Adani Green Energy's financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of June 2024, earned ₹2,834 crore in total revenue, which is up 12.15% from the previous quarter and up 31.08% compared to the same time last year. This means they made more money from their operations compared to both the previous quarter and last year. 

However, their expenses also increased. Selling, general, and administrative expenses went up significantly by 88.89% from the last quarter and doubled from last year. Depreciation and amortization costs also rose by 19.32% from the last quarter and 31.49% from last year.

Despite these rising costs, their operating income, which is the money they make from their core business activities, increased by 41.61% from the last quarter and 25.35% from last year. On the downside, net income before taxes fell by 80.98% from the last quarter, though it grew by 51.33% from last year. Their net income after taxes decreased dramatically by 197.33% from the last quarter but increased by 38.51% from the previous year. 

The diluted normalized earnings per share (EPS) dropped by 164.43% from the last quarter, but it was up 38.71% from last year. The company reported a profit before tax of ₹628 Crores, up from ₹347 Crores in the previous quarter and ₹415 Crores in the same quarter last year.

After accounting for taxes and exceptional items, the net profit for the quarter was ₹683 Crores, showing improvement from ₹330 Crores in the previous quarter and ₹323 Crores in the same quarter last year. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for this quarter is ₹2.63, a significant rise from ₹0.76 in the previous quarter and ₹1.85 in the same quarter last year.
