Allcargo International Supply Chain
Allcargo International Supply Chain (ISC) has released its operational update for June 2024, highlighting notable increases in both LCL and FCL volumes.
LCL Operations For June 2024, the Less-than-Container Load (LCL) volume saw a rise of 2% compared to May 2024 and 4% compared to June 2023. This growth is attributed to global events and high demand across trade lanes during the second quarter of 2024. The increase in LCL volume was particularly significant in Europe, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, the Middle East, and India.
The Full Container Load (FCL) volume also experienced an uptick, growing by 1% from the previous month and 13% from June 2023. This boost in volume was observed in regions such as the USA, Latin America, and APAC.
The ratio of 40 feet containers has improved due to higher volumes, better trade lane management, and a focus on using 40 feet containers on key routes. Container utilization has improved alongside the increased volumes. The index for container utilization (measured in cubic meters per twenty-foot equivalent unit, Cbm/TEU) also shows better performance.
