Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has announced that its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. IST. The meeting will be conducted through video conferencing and other audio-visual means.

During the AGM, shareholders will consider and adopt the audited standalone and consolidated financial statements for the financial year ended March 31, 2024. Additionally, the Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹19 per equity share and a special dividend of ₹3 per equity share to commemorate the company's 25-year silver jubilee celebration. This brings the total dividend to ₹22 per equity share of ₹10 each fully paid up, for the financial year 2023-24, subject to shareholder approval.

This proposed dividend marks the highest in CDSL’s history, with a total cash outflow of ₹22,990 lakh and a dividend payout ratio of 70.42%. The final and special dividends, if approved, will be paid within 30 days of the AGM to shareholders whose names appear on the register of members as of July 16, 2024.

In addition to the dividend declaration, the Board has also recommended the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary. This is the first time CDSL has proposed issuing bonus shares, which aims to enhance shareholder value and increase liquidity of shares. This proposal is also subject to shareholder approval at the AGM.
