DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has launched its fifth DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) in Dharwad, Karnataka. This new training center, in partnership with the Karnataka Forest Academy, will train 240 Karnataka Forest Department officials in drone piloting and its applications in forestry and surveillance.
The DGCA approved the center through a letter dated July 11, 2024, which was received by the company on July 24, 2024. The Dharwad center is the latest addition to DroneAcharya's network, which already includes certified training centers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
In addition to drone piloting, the center will offer courses in drone building, data processing, aerial cinematography, and more. Founder and Managing Director Prateek Srivastava that “This initiative aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the department through the use of advanced drone technology enabling forest frontline staff to harness its potential in surveillance, search and rescue operations, and tracking activities related to wildlife conservation and poacher deterrence”.
