Godawari Power and Ispat Limited has received approval to expand its iron ore pelletisation capacity with the establishment of a new 2-million-ton pellet plant. This expansion will increase the company's total pelletisation capacity from 2.7 million tons per annum (MTPA) to 4.7 MTPA. The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board issued the permission on July 24, 2024, which was received by the company on July 26, 2024.

The new plant will be located at Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and will include facilities for ore grinding, beneficiation, and coal gasification. The project is planned to be funded through the company's internal accruals and is expected to be commissioned by the first quarter of FY26.
