Kabra Extrusiontechnik Q1FY25 PAT at Rs 20 Mn

Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd. (BSE: 524109, NSE: KABRAEXTRU), one of India's leading extrusion machinery companies and an emerging player in battery packs, has announced its financial results for the first quarter ending June 30, 2024.

The company's operating revenues for Q1FY25 stood at ₹882 million, down from ₹1,336 million in Q1FY24. The extrusion machinery segment generated revenues of ₹591 million in Q1FY25, compared to ₹683 million in the same quarter last year.

The Battrixx segment saw a decline in revenues, recording ₹308 million in Q1FY25, down from ₹667 million in Q1FY24. Despite these challenges, Kabra Extrusiontechnik achieved an EBITDA of ₹88 million and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹20 million for the quarter. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q1FY25 was ₹0.58, compared to ₹1.65 in Q1FY24.

Mr. Anand Kabra, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of Kabra Extrusiontechnik Limited (KET), commented on the company's performance. He noted that the extrusion machinery division continues to benefit from the government's focus on infrastructure, which has led to a significant rise in the division’s order book. As of Q1FY25, the order book stands at over ₹1,900 million, a 35% increase from ₹1,400 million in Q1FY24.

However, the Battrixx division faced challenges primarily due to a reduction in government subsidies, leading to a capital crunch and loss of market share for customers. To address these issues, KET is actively working on strategies to support its customers and is diversifying into new product segments such as electric three-wheelers (e3W), swapping stations, and high voltage solutions. This diversification aims to tap into new markets and create additional revenue streams.

The Indian Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market is growing due to the integration of renewable energy and the need for grid stability. KET aims to become a key player in this sector through a partnership with EVE Power Co. Ltd., focusing on sustainability.

The company continues to invest in research and development to drive product innovation and solutions, seeing this commitment as a key driver for future growth. Additionally, KET is exploring opportunities in the aftersales market, identifying it as a new business segment to capitalize on.

Kabra Extrusiontechnik remains committed to innovation and supporting its customers through challenging times while exploring new markets and opportunities.Get the full Details of the announcement Here
