Swaraj Engines Limited has announced a significant leadership change. The company's Board of Directors, in a meeting on July 26, 2024, decided to accept the resignation of Mr. Giju Kurian, who has served as the Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Kurian will step down from his position effective August 31, 2024. His resignation is attributed to his transition to a new role within the Mahindra Group.

In addition to Mr. Kurian's departure, Swaraj Engines has made new appointments. Mr. Rajya Vardhan Kanoria will join the company as an Additional Director (Independent and Non-Executive) starting July 31, 2024. His appointment is subject to shareholder approval and will be for a five-year term.

Furthermore, Mr. Devjit Sarkar has been appointed as the new CEO, effective September 1, 2024. Mr. Sarkar, a Mechanical Engineer with over 36 years of experience, is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Erkunt Traktor in Turkey. He has a strong background in design, operations, and sourcing, and has held various key roles within the Mahindra Group.
