TATA ELXSI New Collaboration on the Horizon with Red Hat on 5G Monetization

Tata Elxsi, a leading global engineering and design services company, has announced a strategic collaboration on June 14, 2024, with Red Hat, the world’s premier provider of enterprise open-source solutions, to enhance network monetization for telecommunications companies (telcos) through advanced 5G applications.

Key Highlights:

• Objective: The partnership aims to accelerate 5G network monetization and reduce operational expenditures by leveraging vertically integrated solutions and smart operational expense (OpEx) reduction strategies. The collaboration will focus on industry-specific 5G applications in sectors such as transportation, manufacturing, and healthcare. This includes real-time, secure over-the-air (OTA) updates and containerized services crucial for software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
• Technological Synergy: By combining Tata Elxsi’s connected vehicle platform TETHER and network automation platform NEURON with Red Hat’s OpenShift and In-Vehicle Operating System, the partnership will offer telcos an integrated solution. This will support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in deploying subscription-based services and advanced fleet management features.
• Operational Efficiency: The integration of Tata Elxsi’s NEURON with Red Hat OpenShift will enable telcos to achieve seamless automation, cloud integration, and robust service orchestration, significantly reducing operational expenditures and enhancing overall efficiency.
